ABOUT THE TURKEY DRIVE

Twelve years ago, we had the honor of starting a program that became known as the Troop Turkey-A-Thon, a program where we donate groceries to feed qualified families through the food banks in their local areas.

Last year alone we provided Thanksgiving meals for 2,518 families or approximately 20,144 people, with leftovers to boot, all in Ventura County. Since the beginning, we have easily fed over 110,000 people a holiday meal. This year our goal is to feed 25,000 people, or 3,125 families, including 300 recently adopted military families.

This year’s need is greater than ever and we need your help. Please join us in this most worthy cause to help those in need.

HOW TO HELP

The Cost is Only $20 per meal.
This provides each family a meal consisting of a 12-14 pound turkey, a 5 pound bag of potatoes, a box of stuffing, 2 cans of green beans, a can of cream of mushroom soup, a can of Durkee Onions which completes the green bean casserole and fresh rolls. Pies may be provided if the budget allows. Each meal feeds at least 8 people and your donation stays in the area unless otherwise specified by you.

The meals will be delivered:

Monday November 21st at 9:00am at the Troop Corporate Centers.

Please write all donation checks at $20.00 per meal, payable to Troop Real Estate then mail them or drop them off at any of our branch offices. You can donate as many meals as you wish. Anything you can do is greatly appreciated.
